Three years back, one fine morning I am thinking to go for a weekend tour alongwith my family and friends, the first option comes to my mind is of Amritsar. Finally we get ready and it was the time during "Durga Puja"then. Our train is from Howrah and the train tooks to reach Amritsar was near about 29 hrs. The distance from Kolkata to Amritsar is around 1950 kms.

Next morning we all moved to see the most beautiful Golden Temple. To enter every person have to wear a scarf over the head,so we all wear it accordingly. The water channel so made that the water automatically kisses your feet and there is no need to wash your feet. As you might be knowing " The Golden Temple" popularly known as Harmandir Sahib was founded in 1574 by the fourth Sikh guru,Guru Ram Dass.  The temple is situated in the middle of a lake known as  "Sarovar". The temple was completed in 1604. Thereafter Maharaja Ranjit Singh, covered the temple with 24 carrat Gold in 1830. Soon thereafter at the 90's it was then renovated with 500 KGS of Gold structured with Gold plate. The Golden Temple is the central religious place of Sikhs. It also known for it's symbol of human brotherhood and equality irrespective of any caste or crew. Inside of the gurudwara is decorated with precious stones.

After seeing the Golden Temple we all

tends to see the lake wherein we noticed number of fishes of different colours whatsoever. After that we returned back to our hotel and rested for sometime.

At around 4 o'clock we all got ready to visit the Partition Museum which was around 5 minutes walk from our hotel. The museum is open from 10 AM to 6 PM everyday except for Monday. On Monday it remains closed. We all had saw newspaper clippings, photographs as well as personal items  that were donated by persons who had witnessed.
After seeing those wonderful things we all had done some marketing of woollen goods as they are very cheap compared to our city to which we live. In the dinner I had Chicken with chapati which is one of my favourite dish. My family members and friends had dinner with other  famous punjabi dishes like Rajma Chawal,Paneer Makhani, Dal Makhani,Sarso ki sag, Makki di roti as well a famous sweet dish viz; Soda Barfi respectively.

Next day after having our breakfast we all had taken bath and moved to our  destination for  Jallianwala Bagh. For that we hired a Mahindra Xylo Car. The owner cum driver named Happy Singh is a fabulous person by nature who acts as a guide to our tour. On reaching there we noticed the 'Amar Jyoti'

You might be knowing that at Jallianwala Bagh, the British troops fired a large crowd of unarmed Indian in an open space in April 13th,1919. Many people also jumped at a wale nearby to save their life. Pictures below showing the Bullet Marks in the wall

There is a garden at Jallianwala Bagh where we found the structure of  Jawans firing is made by shaping a tree which is really awesome. After spending for an hour we all moved for Wagah Border.

The Wagah Border nowadays known as Attari Border is around 28kms from Amritsar.  It is an International border between India and Pakistan. On reaching we found that there was a tight security on either side of the road. The Wagah Border Ceremony is just about to begin. We saw the militants marching forward together. The ceremony ends after around a hour after meeting some cultural activities.

At 7 PM we reached hotel had our dinner and gone to sleep. Finally in the next morning we started arranging our luggages to return back to our home.
That's how we enjoyed those days.
